Hello everyone, I need some advice on my situation, I met my spouse online in February 2010, we courted for 4 months and he came to my Country Barbados and we met for the first time in July 2010, he stayed for 1 week and went back to The US. He Visited me again in September and invited me to come to The USA to visit him, I visited him for a 3 week vacation in November 2010 and I came back to my home. I visited him again in January 2011 and stayed for five months, I return to my home in May 2011... we miss each other so much I returned to the US in July 2011 and he convince me to stay, I have been here in the US now out of status for 9 months, We got Married on the 28th of August 2012, We had an Intimate Court Wedding, with just the Mayor of our Town and my husband and I., we took a few Pics of our special day. My Question is how soon can I apply for AOS..., and how can we prove that our marriage is Bona-fide, if we just got married and we live with his parents, we do not have anything in both our names, should I wait until we get our own house together to change my status? Your help will be appreciated

Congrats on your marriage.

Being out of status is never a good thing, so I would suggest filing for AOS asap. Gather up anything and everything you can that shows you and your husband have a life together. Pictures of the two of you together from as far back as you have, wedding cards, relationship cards(valentines day, birthday, etc.), old flight itinerary from your previous meetings. Have your fiends and family right affidavits that your relationship is real. Get magazine subscriptions sent to your address in your new married name. Have him put you on any credit cards he has as an authorized user. If he has health insurance at work, get on it. There really is no right or wrong answer as to what qualifies as proof, whatever you've got, use it. Does your hubby make 125% over the poverty line of income? If not you will need a financial supprter for AOS, will his parents do that for you?
