For other immigrant and K visa concerns, please send an e-mail to IVManilaReplies@state.gov

All files are reviewed by another CO after the interview (even when no additional documents are requested), everything the first CO decided was notated in the computer and the file.

They kept his visa, and that's a very good sign. He's probably already been approved, pending the receipt of your I-134.

The Embassy seems backed up with work right now because of the weather in August and all of the holidays too. He should receive his visa within a few weeks.

It's interesting to see another K-1 approval when the petitioner is using a joint sponsor.

Are you Pinoy?

well the thing is they didnt say whether he's been approved yet or not.

cuz on his interview, for some reason the I-134 wasnt in the papers he brought.it was left at home by accident. so the Consular officer told him that he cannot process his papers until they get the I-134. but it wasnt said if he was opproved or not. thats whats kind of gettin me nervous :/

and yes i am pinoy...

Here's my scorecard:

> They kept his passport.

> They accepted the joint sponsor.

> All they need is your I-134.

> You are Pinoy.

> You will email or call the Embassy once a week to check up on your case.

> My prediction: APPROVED

The CO never told my wife she was approved, just said to report to window 72 when her number was called, even at window 72 it was like an after thought as the lady told her she doesn't need anything else and the visa will be delivered at the address provided.

1. Why did you use two joint sponsors? Did you need both joint sponsors in order to meet the income guidelines?

2. Are you and your fiancé planning to live with your mother?

3. Which affidavit of support forms did the joint sponsors (your cousin and your mother) use? Did they use an I-134, or did they use an I-864?

4. Do your cousin and your mother live in the same household?

You did not include the I-864 from yourself and your co-sponsor? Water over the dam at this point. The Manila embassy is known for being very picky about allowing co-sponsors with K-1 visas.

?? Was your mom's/cousin's income adequate to meet and/or exceed the 125% guidelines stated in the 864P for the number of people in the household? If yes then -

Options: Get married and go the ir/cr-1 route, the embassy has to accept a co-sponsor with this visa. Yes that means go back to GO and start over.

Oh, next time only use ONE co-sponsor, choose the person that is most qualified financially.
