CR-1 or K-1? Need advice given situation.

Just time the visa/embassy interview to be 6 months or less from the time she wishes to immigrate to the US otherwise the visa will expire. Amykathleen2005 is correct that on the visa interview day, if you've been married 2 or more years they'll ok the appropriate visa/thus 3 or 10 year greencard. Your wife to be's entrance visa is only good for 6 months post issuance at the longest so timing is everything.

Not necessarily harder - all depends on proof of marriage. You will have it easier though than those from the middle east and a handful of other countries. Yes, apply after a year of marriage and you can easily stall the process a little bit if new be by waiting a few extra weeks to submit paperwork at different stages to insure it is over 2 years when you get your interview.

Its when the VISA is granted but that is usually right after the interview. You can view the average timelines by going to Immigration Timelines ( http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/ ). Its around 9 months I believe but it seems to be trending longer.

Personally I think they are about the same. However, I think some may argue the spousal is more critical because you are getting a greencard out of it right away so there is not the level of safeguard for frausters as the K1 has with AOS.

No I think that the CR1 is more likely to be denied. But only by a smidgen. Either should work out fine for you if you have a genuine relationship.

Takes about a year that is correct maybe a little under or over depends if any mistakes are made when filing. Include lots of pictures. Save everything and take lots of pictures.

Oh we'll definitely be taking a lot of pictures and already have. I'm also hoping skype call log records will be additional good proof of a bona fide relationship, as we have logged almost 150 hours over the past 9 months and have all of the call dates and durations saved on a spreadsheet created from the program's folder. That is our primary method of communication, along with the 700+ emails we have sent to each other in that time span. Thanks a lot.
