Reliable Agency for Foreig transcripts evaluation

Hi, everyone! I am new here, although I have been lurking around the forums every once in a while, and this is the first time I am officially joining Visajourney. I have been in the US for almost 10 months now, and I currently work for a school district in California. In order for them to have me signed a contract, they are requiring me to have my transcripts evaluated. They need to know the US equivalent of my education. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Comm. from the University of the Philippines, and I have also obtained M.A. units/classes from the same university but never got to finish my thesis dissertation.

I am just curious about your experiences in having your transcripts evaluated for work/academic purposes. I heard about WES and IERF. I also heard that Cali. State University in Fresno is doing foreign transcripts evaluation, but I have no idea which agency is the most reliable and helpful. I need to have this done at least in the next two months...

Any suggestions and insights would be truly appreciated. God bless you all. :)

Hi,

Not sure you are looking for this but....... Getting credentialed in CA . My wife got her transcripts evaluated by APIE and they did a good job. They're on the short list for transcript evaluation for the credentialing group.

Hi, Sir! Would you know how long did it take with APIE to have your wife's transcripts evaluated? Thank you so much.

I used ECE.

Will take a look at this site. Thank you. :)

My wife used... www.eres.com "The ERES office is in Sacramento, California"

But,

My wife was seeking a nursing license for the State of Texas and there was only two agencies the Texas Board of Nursing accepted.

So,

I would research a bit on possible uses of your evaluation. Check to see if the State Board of Education for California,,, only accepts

evaluations from certain,, evaluation companies...

Good Luck.

Regards,

dc
