Saying Goodbye Never Gets Any Easier

After 7 long months of not seeing my husband I was able to spend 9 days with him in the US. It was all the vacation time I had left but I guess I can't complain as others aren't so fortunate. I came back today and I must tell you saying goodbye is never gets any easier. I had an morning flight and I did not sleep at all Saturday night nor this morning. Did a little nodding on the plane but that wasn't much and as tired as I am sleep still would not come to my eyes. I hardly sleep knowing I have to leave him or he has to leave me. This process is so upsetting and it seems I still may have another two months or more to wait for a NOA2 from Vermont as my timeline is constantly changing further and further away. I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel but in that moment I just don't see it any more. How do you guys cope especially with goodbyes?

My Husband's naturalization timeline:
08/25/10: My Husband finally posts his naturalization application
09/01/10: Text message & e-mail notification acknowledging receipt of application. Forwarded to NBC
09/04/10: I-797 Received in the mail. Priority Date: August 30th 2010
02/02/11: Naturalization Interview (Postponed due to weather and probably backlogged)
03/11/11: Naturalization Interview..........PASSED!!!!!!!!
04/20/11: Oath Ceremony

02/04/11: Civil Marriage Ceremony in New York
02/05/12: Religious Marriage Ceremony in Barbados

USCIS
05/09/12: I-130 Sent
05/14/12: I-130 NOA1
01/17/13: I-130 NOA2

NVC
02/04/13: NVC Received
02/21/13: Case number assigned
02/22/13: Called and got case number & gave e-mail addresses

Skype, Yahoo, phone calls and email. I hate Skype but love the fact that at least we see each other daily. Goodbyes are so hard, but each time You say it you are one less goodbye away......

April 18, 2012 met in person in Cebu

April 20, 2012 proposed

May 28, 2012 filed K1

June 6, 2012 received email K1 accepted.

August 28, 2012 NOA2 approved!!!!!!!

September 21, 2012 went back for vist number 2

Had a wonderful time!

Interview set for November 6

Flying out November 3 to be together

Arrived November 4

November 6, 2013 interview and approved

November 14, 2013 picked up visa!

November 29, 2013 arrived in Anchorage

November 30, 2013 applied for marriage license

December 15, 2013 civil wedding

February 16, 2013 AOS filed

February 23, 2013 NOA 1 reviewed

April 4, 2013 Biometric appointment

May 9, 2013 AOS intervie

May 9, 2013 Approved ap, ead and green card

May 18, 2013 received Green Card, EAD and AP in mail

I think that's the best way to think of it.

I agree skype is one of the better solutions, not the only one but a good one. There are no easy good bye's I have had my share, I miss my wife to be as much as anyone here. Very little will make it easy, nothing will make it fast. Talk as much as you can, share as much as you can. Photos of friends family events you would have shared all help.

I will not get any easier over time, you just realize one day that there are more days past in the process than there are ahead of you. Once you reach that point each day that goes by is one less to worry about, one less day to wait. I know that I have not been waiting as long as some of you have, just know I share what you feel.
