Did you contact a Representative?

You mean like a congressman? I have no idea how that works :/ I'm the beneficiary but I've done all the filing really, my fiancé wouldn't have a clue about contacting someone like that! Is it relatively easy to do?

However - what is the number you call for USCIS to enquire about your status? I'd like to try that tomorrow...

I'm sure that we will get an RFE for wrong size passport photos so I just want to hear quick :(

I understand, don't worry :)

We've been waiting for 6 months and a week and there aren't any signs that we'll get approved any time sooner. Not to mention that apparently a lot of files at CSC have been damaged. I feel like i'm in hell and there's no way out of it

:(

You are right, it must be really hard to wait. Especially after reading the probably true facts about the plumbing issues and the case files damaged by that issue...

That is sooo unbelievable and it still happens these days. I do really hope that you and all the other poor CSC people get NOA2s soon and can move forward with their cases. Really difficult to accept the fact that your life temporarily depends on broken/stuffed pipes in a huge office building....

I'm the beneficiary as well and I didn't know how to do it either until I decided I wanted to do that, because simply waiting became unbearable. All you need to do it type "Who is my Congressman?" in Google and you will find a government search engine. You type your fiance's (US Citizen) zip code and it finds the Representative for you. You go to their website (online office) and just send them an e-mail. As easy as that :) If you're not sure what to write (except that you're frustrated, because you haven't heard anything from the USCIS for over 6 months), you can use a sample letter that you'll find by browsing this forum. From what I've seen on this forum and based on our own example, contacting a Congressman always helps. Good luck! :-)

I hope you hear something soon

My fiance has sent a letter to the US embassy in London- I hope this gets sorted out- I can not believe this is happening after both my fiance and I informed the NVC about my change of address!

So I am wondering if anyone has a reasonable estimate for us CSC September filers? I mean some of us are fighting back and trying to make noise. But is by the end of May a reasonable expectation? For me the frustration is not just the wait, its the unknown factor. So disallowing those few who take who are processed quickly or those who seem to take longer, do we have an expectation even?

I would be happy even if someone told me i had to wait until June, at least i would know there's an end. Right now it doesn't seem like it's ever going to happen.

But I am trying to use the power of positive thinking :o

Journey so far:

09/14/2012: Sent I-129F Packet

09/21/2012: NOA1 Received

04/22/2013: NOA2 Notice of approval
05/08/2013 NVC Received

06/01/2013 Packet 3 Received

06/04/2013 Packet 3 Sent

06/10/2013 Packet 4 email received

06/27/2013 First Scheduled interview-cancelled (didn't get notarized paperwork in time)

08/12/2013 K-1 interview passed!

08/28/2013 Lili Arrives in the U.S.!!!

10/04/2013 Marriage!!!

03/26/2014 AOS Approved!

04/02/2014 Received GC

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong, and think of what could go right!

Some new approvals from CSC can be seen on Igor's list: one with NOA1 from February 2012 and one from November 2012 o.O Well, at least it seems they're working.

So we spoke to USCIS yesterday and they have sent in a service request for us to Vermont...and said they would be in contact within 15 days.

How long does it usually take for them to get back to someone on that? Another 15 days will take up about up to 7 months
