Hello to all. My wife and I adopted our nephew and the adoption was completed and finalized in 2007. We have been living in the Philippines since I retired in Feb. 2010 but have decided to get a visa for our son to come to the U.S. We have put together a large packet for our I-130 petition including adoption papers ( finality decree, amended birth certificate etc.,) and in addition we have gathered many certified letters from teachers, principals, doctors, barangay captains, our Philippine drivers licenses, utility and rental receipts and many pictures to prove two year residency and parental control. However when my wife went last week to turn in our I-130 petition. the officer at the CIS. office at the Manila U.S. embassy refused to take our petition because she said our papers were too long and wouldn't fit into her files! They were on long paper because that was the size of the official papers from the Philippine courts. Needless to say this is very frustrating given all our work. Has anyone else run into this problem and if so what advice could you give us. Thanks for reading.

Richard
