NOA2... Is this normal?

Hi Everyone,

Tomorrow will mark exactly four months since we received NOA1. Our application was sent to the Vermont processing center, and it says the average wait time is 5 months... but I am seeing a lot of people saying they received theirs in 78 days. Is there anyway to check on cases apart from the online tracker? I'm getting more and more heartsick...

Thanks,

Kendra

Well Vermont is going really slow. They are approving late February and early March applications right now. Those approvals in 78 days are from California. If you add in your timeline your NOA1 date and which service center your application went to it gives you a rough estimate of when your NOA2 should arrive. I am also at Vermont it is a long horrible wait so prepare yourself.

Vermont has some filers who are waiting 200+ days.

Good luck

USCIS website has a section to check processing status. VCS is showing processing Feb apps now, which is more than a 5 month processing time.:(

Ditto to what the others said. We filed in February and just got an RFE from VSC. There's a bunch of Feb filers still waiting too. CSC is flying through petitions while VSC is stuck in the mud. Unfortunately, London doesn't seem to be moving very fast either these days so prepare yourself for a slow process. I'm hoping to have Alan and his boys here by Christmas.
