Please. The latest move (QE3) is as political as it gets. It's about self-preservation for Ben, since both Romney and Ryan said they would replace him as Chairman if elected.

Are we in a great depression? Is Europe melting down? Are we losing millions of jobs? Is the stock market crashing?

None of the above, yet Ben goes ahead and approves an open-ended (but at least a trillion dollar) QE program to juice up the economy and transfer more wealth from the middle class to the rich.
