You just received your NOA1 two months ago.. K-1s seem to have a pretty high rate of approval in Colombia so unless there is anything specific then plan well and have high hopes for your K-1

On your actual question.. Getting married in Colombia is a bit more involved that the U.S. .. Assuming you are not doing a religious ceremony your fiance is going to need to find a Notaria and get the specifics (the exact documents required vary especially when dealing with marrying a foreigner). Your documents will likely need to be "fresh" and have an Apostille. For example I had to get a new copy (dated within 90 days) of a previous divorce certificate, and birth certificate - They also wanted a certificate showing that I was free to marry which is not available in the U.S. .. Instead I had a form that was in both English and Spanish signed by my mother and brother stating I was single.. I then had a notary public sign it and an apostille added..

I've been to several weddings in Colombia and they have all been very different.. Some just go sign papers at the Notoria, have a small talk and then its done.. We did ours in Medellin, performed by the Notoria, in a botanical garden.

I found this page to be useful - a bit dated but I had no problems with the process. The main thing is to find a Notoria and make sure you fulfill their requirements: Marriage in Colombia

Looking back, this is what I should hve done. I think it would have been less time and money. Waiting for K-1 NOA2 for 260 Days, I dont think it will come this year anymore, I am not sure if she is willing to hold on anymore. Thanks USCIS

Wow your timeline is terrible.. You have heard nothing back since answering the RFE in June? Have you called them and talked to a tier 2 person? You need to call USCIS tomorrow and talk to a tier 2 person. Don't bother with the tier 1 person that answers the phone.. the best they will do is jot some information down and slag it in a pile to nowhere.. They have one real purpose: Connect you to a tier 2 person that actually can see the status of your case.
