My husband is calling tomorrow and is going to try to set up his physical. Does anyone know, can you pay at the clinic or do you have to pay at a bank? Do you need to to take your interview letter with you to the clinic? What about the bank when you pay the fee?

Just call them before going and they will give you all the required info.

Hi everyone!! My husband is at the Children's Clinic as we speak. He said that he has gotten his X-ray and blood work so far. I think he is still waiting for the physical exam. I didn't get a chance to talk to him all that much since he is still waiting, but he did say that the amount they said he was asked to pay is 12,000 the first day and 9,000 the second.

My spouse is now getting ready for medical examination. Based on information we get from Nigeria Vjers, we are leaning towards using Children Pratice in Ikoyi, Lagos. Please I was just wondering if any VJ can tell us how many days it will take to complete the whole medical examination ranging from X-ray to vaccinations. Thanks.

Yes, the Childrens clinic is a lot cheaper than the clinic run by Dr Alakija. The owner of the other clinic is sort of a celebrity doctor, so their services are bound to be more expensive. I have called both clinics from my base here and this made me conclude the childrens clinic at ikoyi is a lot cheaper. From my chat with the operator at the childrens clinic, it takes 2 days for every thing, no need for an appointment, just walk in. But you have to come back after 3-5 days or a week for the results. The 21k is for initial tests and check up. If u need more vaccinations, you will pay more than that. I pray they can accept my UK vaccination records, cos i think i am covered.

Well I told my brother in law to do just that, but I promise you, he can never give me a straight answer. LOL I guess I will have to call them myself or just follow the thread and learn. Since he is not going until next Tuesday, we have some time.

I believe your immunizations are going to be valid and you will not need many more, if any at all!

The Embassy requires two Clinics

Q-Life family clinic located in Victoria Island

The children's practice clinic located in Ikoyi

So you decide which one is close to you, I will be going to the Children's practice clinic

Are you ready to get this done????:D:yes::D

Ok, I called the hubby between classes today and this is the information I got. He had to pay the 12,000 at the bank, which he said is 2 blocks down and easy to trek to. The other 9,000 was paid cash at the clinic. He got everything done today, and he was told to come back on Wednesday to pick up the report.

He needed his passport and a copy of the biographic page and 2 passport photos. They didn't ask for the interview letter. He also didn't make an appointment he just showed up this morning and they did everything. =) Hope this helps everyone!! Good Luck!
