One more question. Your writing does not sound like English is your native language. May I ask if your fiancé in the UK was born in the UK or if he or his parents are from another country? People from certain countries often have a longer wait for their visa to be approved than born and raised British people.

If your attorney deals with Dominican visas, then you are going to learn more in the UK forum than he likely knows.

I'm from Puerto Rico, n my fiance is 100% British, mom n dad r British too..

We had to wait a couple of weeks before our "packet" came through. Just be aware its not actually a packet of info it is just a letter stating what documents you're required to send and also your new case number.

This link was really helpful for things that you can do whilst you are waiting for your letter http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/

I got my vaccinations updated as needed in advance of my medical. And my fiancé got all the financials prepped so that when he came to visit me he had them ready to bring over.

This link is generally a good helping start off point of what to expect prior to your interview. http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

We haven't used an attorney but have some close friends who have been able to help who have also gone through a similar process. This website is very very helpful and sometimes attorney's can be more of a hindrance than a help, so I am lead to believe.

Don't panic about getting the letter through, it will come through but get the forms filled out in advance and go and get all vaccinations sorted and passport photos taken.

Good luck ! : )x

P.s. i'd written this without fully reading all the previous threads so apologies if i'm repeating info that has already been said and not fully understanding your situation.

Hope all goes well!
