Yep! I meant for it to say "Do you know Tachelheit? My husband isn't Amazigh (and doesn't speak Tachelheit) but I was in Ouarzazate for two years. I knew tachelheit before but now can't remember..."

To be fair, I couldn't remember if assugas was feminine or masculine, or how to make it plural (sin assugasen? snet assugas???). I should have just said 3mayn, but... you know.

I'm impressed you understood my botched Tachelheit with a botched translation, and I'm happy that I remember enough to get across a simple sentence like that, since I haven't had anyone to practice with for 3 years. It also cracks up a lot of Moroccans we meet that my Darija is fairly abysmal, but I can get by in Berber... and my husband doesn't understand a word of it!

Assugass is masculine. In Imini Tanoute ( a province where berber have different terminologies than Ouarzazate), to say 2 years = 3aymeyn which is exactly Darija, but south in Ouarzazate they say Rassugassneen. Although my parents are berber, i'm not good at it at all, i was born and raised in Casablanca, my father took us only 2 times to his birthplace, i didn't practice it alot but subconsciously learned to understand Tashelhit, but i can't perfectly speak it, i do understand the speeches, I have met an American guy in 2005 who speaks Tashelhit neatly.

barbarian berber

I went to the Atlas Mountains and my husband got into a fight there LOL. We were snow skiing and things went kinda bad with some men there and my honey came to the rescue and saved me. Then I went and bought a ton of jewelry from some berbers and it was so beautiful and then had some lunch and almost drove off the mountain as I was sight seeing and then i got some gas at some little place and they put some gas in my car with a bottle blink.gif That was a first for sure....

If you were in Morocco, wouldn't recommend you using a laptop inside your car at a parking lot while waiting for for your husband to finish praying, hijackers are all over the places.

There was this one parking lot attendant that wanted me to kiss him and never left my car window the entire time of prayer at Hassan II. Mohammed has to run him off when he got there LOL.
