Hello Everyone ,

The USCIS Dallas Lockbox

For U.S. Postal Service:

USCIS

P.O. Box 660151

Dallas, TX 75266

or we must send it to another address. your reply will be highly appreciated

Given that K-3 visa is dead on arrival to NVC, you are better off not sending I-129f. If you do send it, expect for your I-130 to be pulled out of the pile it's already sitting in, put together with I-129f and then put at the bottom of the pile - meaning you will lose more time waiting for approval.

Moving to CR-1 visa process.

yes, you better off not sending I-129F. It does delay your I 130 approval because they process both applications together even though it adds no value as it will be cancelled by NVC.Speaking that from my experience and i am happy that i can atleast help someone from getting in to that trap.

I filed both but only found out after I had filed that the K-3 was no longer available in Nigeria due to the high scam rate. It is better that you sent the I-130 only. So the visa type you have actually filed for is the IR-1/CR-1 visa. Since you have your USCIS Case Number and NOA1 there is nothing more to do at this time but wait. Regular wait time is approximately 5 months for Nigeria. If USCIS requires more information from you during this time, they will contact you by mail or email.

I wish you both the best and God bless your journey!

Thank you so much. but i have one problem, my husband is a Nigerian but he is living in Russia. and on the Biographic form and I-130 we put his russian residential address on it and now that you said is advisable that we continue with the CR-1 process, are they going to send the whole package to Russia when the time comes or Nigeria? because my husband have asked from American embassy in Russia and they said that they can only process K3 visa since we had our marriage in Russia and they can't process the CR-1 since my husband is not a citizen or permanent resident. so what do you think we should do ? what about if they send application and the package to Russia then that means we will have problem. what do you think ?

@dana and divine . am directing my question to you because you did the same thing am about doing now. what i would like to ask from you is that ,when your petition was approved , i mean the I 130 petition, did they send you form to fill so that the petition package will be send to Nigerian embassy or how did they do it? because already on the I 130 and his biographic form we have filled his current address where he is living presently which is russia, i hope we did not make mistake?

Since your forms has been sent,Dont bother yourself about it.If it gets to Russia and can't be process then you write a mail requesting for the case to be transfer to US embassy Nigeria for further process.CR1 is the appropriate means because the K3 route is no Longer in existence.Since he has no residence,Nigeria will be better for him.But will advice him to move when the time of interview is near.
