I have read abt this on VJ before but I have noticed that most of my fiancé friend’s gf or wives got pregnant right when they met, (I mean the first day of meeting each other!) Also, one of my fiancé friends told him that if I were to get pregnant it would speed up the process of him getting a visa faster. To me I don't really think that getting pregnant would get my fiancé here faster but I'm starting to see it happening a lot with other couples. Would it help?

Thanks,

At least it does not work for IR-1/CR-1 immigration visa category. I have seen lots of applicants on VJ forum as well. USCIS/NVC does not treat pregnancy as a valid reason to expedite the process.

Thanks,

 In the US, family dynamics have changed. You can be a single parent. Does not help the process. Also there are laws that you can file child support on you foreign parent.

No, pregnancy is not a reason for expedite. There are a number of VJ USC members parenting solo while waiting for their fiance.

Regarding support from a foreign country, that would depend upon the exchange rate. What my fiance lives on in Mexico is about $80 a week in the US. He can't help me with the baby's expenses. And anyway, I'm not sure if a person can get child support while IN a relationship - that's usually for parents who are split. If you're together, you'd work that out yourselves, supposedly.

Good luck with the process,

Thanks for the enlightenment sunshine84. I have said to somebody before the if he really love his wife/fiance, he'll want to be there for them... How's your husband there for you when you're pregnant considering the length of time it'll take to move together with you in the state. Long distance relationship is hard already but continuing with pregnancy while still apart should be reviewed. I get you pregnant so the govt have no choice lol.. I still believe genuine relationship is better than a hurried pregnancy... All the best my vj family

Speaking from first hand experience the is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! I got pregnant ( unplanned) the last time I was with my fiance. I filed for him, and when I realized how long the process was taking and he wouldnt be able to come here to see the birth of our baby, I tried to expediate our request and I was denied. I have been waiting just like everyone else. My application was not sped up in anyway shape or form. I waited 6 months for my NOA2 and I have to go through the rest of the process like everyone else. I wish people would stop saying that cause I feel like some of the men who are trying to scam to get to America are impregnating women just to get a visa. Also when you have a baby that another person to add to your family size, which depending on the USC income may hurt you when you have to send in the financial information cause now your a family of 3 instead of 2. Also I was faced with the reality that this process could take another year if something bad happened which means thats time my child is missing being with her father 1 trip a year isn't enough, plus with a child you cant be free to travel as before cause you have to work as much as possible to provide. AGAIN PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN THAT FOOLISHNESS!

Thanks for your response...I told my fiance that we can't listen to what everyone says..we have to use our own judgement about things especially when it invovlves something serious..as starting a family..I personally dont think it would help but my fiance kind of thinks it would..Congrats on the baby..I sure do hope ur fiance makes it in time!! Good luck :)

Thank you for your responses!…like I said I don’t think it would work and I told my fiancé that I don’t think it would matter if I was to get pregnant or not, we would still have to wait for him to get here, you can’t listen to what everybody tell you…and I really wouldn’t want to go thru a pregnancy without my fiancé present. Cleary, this just shows you how some people think and scam, to get what they want.

This rumor is spread by men that don't want to deal with a wife in the midst of pregnany hormones. They just want to see the finished product.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

NO it will not speed up any type of visa...........just because 2 people slept together and the woman got pregnant, does not prove a bone fide relationship or rule out visa fraud.
