October interview? :wow: That was fast. Is something wrong with the rest of us..... :angry:

Petitioner LPR upgraded to USC June 22, 2012
August 22, 2012: case complete
October 18, 2012: Interview (APPROVED)
October 26, 2012: Picked up visa from DHL (delay caused by Sandy)
December 15, 2012: POE Atlanta....................became USC July 2016!!!!

Mothers' Journey (My sister is the petitioner)

September 10, 2013: Sent I-130 (UPS next day service)

September 12, 2013: Received text to confirm delivery

September 16, 2013: Received NOA 1

March 22, 2014: Received NOA 2

April 8, 2014: File Received by NVC

May 26, 2015: Interview (approved)..........now LPR (delays caused by 2 RFE)

From my understanding its the embassies that give the interview slots to nvc so you are at the mercy of the consulate giving up interview slots. But ciudad Juarez is a big consulate and go through a lot ppl every day that's why I think the waiting time for interview in Mexico isn't that long. My wifes interview was about a month out also from case closed.

I came to America when i was 16 . I am Now 19 . I was told by my lawyer that when i entered The US when i was 16 I automatically became A USC . The reason is i was Adopted by my MOm husband Who is a USC , i was a minor and i also have a IR2 Visa . My question is

1 . Am I a USC?

2 . If Yes How can i get Proof?

3 . Can I get a US passport

Also I must add My Mom and Him was married 3 years prior to entering the US . And I live with them When I came Here

MEP Case Complete August 20th.

Received interview date on September 13th.

Interview date set for October 3rd in Juarez.

Time from case complete to interview date received = 3 weeks, 3 days.

I think we just missed the cutoff of interviews being scheduled in August, if the whole "second week of the month" thing is true. I did receive this date at the end of the second week in September. 2-4 weeks from case complete to interview sounds about average.

My case was closed at the NVC on Sept. 4 and I got the appointment today, Sept. 13.
