Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get an interview scheduled in El Salvador?- NVC sent the completed visa documentation to the consulate the end of August and I still havent received an interview date. I sent an email to the consulate a few days ago but they haven't responded. I don't know how it works but aren't they supposed to schedule interviews for a month after visa completion process?

You should hear something soon. From what I understand it only takes about 2-3 weeks to hear. Has it been 2-3 weeks?

Yeah if I understand this correctly NVC sits down and fills the interview schedules for the consulates during the 2nd week of September.

With ES your date should be ~1 month away from when you get notice of the date... which should be any day now. It's unfortunate us ES'ers don't have more people to compare to. Or maybe it works to our advantage ;)

I called NVC today and I was told that they are finalizing the interviews for October and that I should expect to hear something in the next two days, so hopefully by Monday or Tuesday. Have you called too?

Perhaps the embassy has been slow due to the independence day.

No -- my case hasn't been completed yet. I just recently sent the AOS and IV packets as of last Thursday. I'm not going to make that cut off.

But let me know as soon as you get your date!!!!!

nothing yet and I don't know what to do at this point, NVC told me that they are still waiting fot an appointment from the embassy in El Salvador, what are this people doing!

I was told to wait for something the first two weeks in October, so we'll see.

How is everying with you, anything yet?
