We are currently in the process of putting together our packet, an we hired an attorney, but the attorney is trying to tell us we need only the forms, and nothing else. Which i tried to show my fiance the site here, to show that we need evidences, now.. my fiance is trying to say maybe the attorney is doing it like this becasue of his country,, but i doubt this greatly, becasue what does it have to do with it..

CAn someone plz write a reply explaining a bit of what you sent for the k1 visa, along with the forms

And is frontloading, including emails and phonecalls a good idea for the fact taht albania iwas reading is suppose to be considered a high fraud country,

I am trying to help my fiance to understand the begining steps of this long looking process. THat we donät need just the forms, but photos of us together, plane ticket stubs.. etc.. plz anyone who has already gotten past this part, tell us what u sent.

Thanks!

Hello!

No, you should not just send the forms, independently of the country of the beneficiary. If anything, depending on the country, you send more or less things; but you still need to send evidence.

This evidence needs to prove that the two of you have met each other, face to face, and have shared the same time and space, at least ONCE within the past two years. The evidence needs to place the two of you together.

To accomplish this, you can send copies of your passport with stamps, boarding passes, hotel receipts and bank statements with ATM transactions. To back up this primary evidence, you should send pictures (at least one) showing that you have been together.

If you do not send this information, two things can happen: they will ask you (in a few months) to send in the evidence or they would deny the petition for sending it incomplete.

Please refer to the K1 Guide http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide for information on how to present a standard petition.

I suggest you lose the lawyer and, either do it yourself or change lawyers; because your current one seems to have little knowledge about this process.

It sounds like you need to get rid of that attorney and get your money back. He/She doesn't have a clue what to do.

You will need much more than just the forms. I have posted a link from this website that will give you a detailed list of what is needed.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

Yeah! You need to send the evidence or else you'll get an rfe and that will delay the process. Even if you look at uscis.gov, it tells u to send proofs. You may need to fire your attorney because you will be wasting money hiring him/her. You can do this process yourself.

****** Whatever comments i post are based only on what I've done or experienced during this journey. ******

And we should be here to help each other.

Peace out! =)

I concur with the others: Nix the attorney. Mine is wonderful, thorough, and specializes in family based immigration law. You don't need one, but I hired her to alleviate my budding anxiety disorder. We are front-loading the cr_p out of our I-129F packet with evidence. RFE's really delay things so make sure you look at all the resources on this site and on www.uscis.gov so you know exactly what to send.

Best of luck on your visa journey!

According to the K1 guide, you should send this information along with your original application….among many other things.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

Documentary Proof of Having Met in Person in the Past Two Years and an Ongoing Relationship:

Use as many of these items are possible. There is no minimum, but the more you can provide the less likely you are that you will receive an RFE. Additionally, please note that providing proof of your ongoing and genuine relationship in this package may benefit you by allowing the consulate to have access to this information prior to them formally contacting the non US Citizen fiance. Many high risk consulates approach cases with a skeptical eye and providing this information early on in the original I-129F package will help them in their preliminary review of your case.

Copies of all airline boarding passes, train passes, itineraries, hotel receipts, passport stamps (make sure you can read the dates on the stamps), and other documentary evidence that you have met within the last two years. You may want to highlight or place post-it notes indicating the dates and locations on the copies (to make the adjudication easier) for the person reviewing your file.

Color Photo's of you and your fiance(e) together. Make sure you write your names, date, and location on the back of every photo. Provide 2-5 photos. If you only have a single copy of the photo, then make a color copy and send that. Place photos in a plastic bag or photo sheet and label the sheet.

The following items will not typically show proof of having met in the last two years however will show proof of an ongoing relationship: Copies of land line and cell phone bills, appropriate letters and emails, stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present.
