Date of AOS Interview: September 12, 2012

Time: 1:00pm

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Got to the USCIS office in downtown LA 15 minutes before my schedule, went to the 1st Window to drop off the Interview appointment letter. The woman asked if I am with anyone and if someone is representing me, i just told her that I am with my husband. She said, ok cool and to just wait for my name to be called. Waited approximately 40 minutes ... after 4 people, my name was called and we were asked to go to Door 1. The consul was very nice and accommodating. We were really comfortable and the interview felt like a normal conversation. She asked for the following documents: our marriage certificate, my husband's birth certificate, my children's birth certificate, my husband's naturalization certificate, supporting docs of joint assets (bank statement, insurance policy), my passport, my California State ID, social security card, i gave my military spouse Id as well. Then she asked the following questions, how we met, when i got to America, where we live, if my husband has taken me to places, where my children lives, if we are driving a car and who has the car, she asked what my husband's job is ... that's it. It felt like we were just talking to a stranger who was interested to know our love story ... little that we knew, we were talking to a Consul Director!!! Waaaaah! =) The interview took 10 minutes. She stood up, took my passport and my husbands IDs (Driver's License and Military ID) came back after 2 minutes and handed the paper stating that my GREEN CARD is approved!!! WOOOOT WOOOOT!!! ItS an amazing feeling because our hard work paid off =) Now, my husband can truly keep me for life! =)

Good luck to the other couples and God bless =)

Sincerely,

Cheryl
