Well, I am trying to guess when I am going to get my green card ;) So, I checked the processing times of the District Office in Sacramento. The result - close to 200 days from the receipt date. Then I checked the VJ statistics. Surprise - 128 days from the receipt date to interview and 11 more days to get the actual card. That's roughy two months less.

Am I missing anything here? I do not mind getting my GC in four months instead of six, but I would rather be pleasantly surprised than dissapointed :)

Thanks!

Well, keep in mind that VJ members on here who actually put up timelines only represent a small percentage of all those people who file, so I'm sure the office is basing their stats on the much larger population than our tiny VJ one.

True. I will be optimistic and assume that VJ members are simply better informed and that's why we are processed faster ;)

Since it looks like you entered on a K-1 Visa there is a chance that you could be transfered to CSC for even a quicker AOS approval ... I believe if your local office is really backlogged and that you have a simple case then there is a chance they would transfer you to CSC and most people get approval without an interview ...

My case hasn't been touched in about a week and it's making my husband and I nervous... I didn't come in on a K1 or K3... I came to visit him as a visitor.. no visa.. just a Canadian visitor crossing the border to visit a friend.. but we ended up falling madly in love and got married and so now we're here on our AOS journey.. and I'm worried that might cause us problems... oh well. I guess we just need to think positively. So far everything seems to be going well.

Don't worry about the lack of touches. It does not indicate a problem.
