Hi, I'm filing for my husband who is living in Honduras. I sent the 1-129f more than a month ago and received confirmation that they received it July 30th. My husband and I are impatiently waiting for an answer. Am I missing something? Should I of sent some other kind of application somewhere else... I'm really confused.

NO! this is normal you will receive a confirmation from the service center you filed advising you that they received your petition. Once received you are in for a wait. anywhere from 4-5months from the date it was received to get an approval from the USCIS. Once approved your filed get sent to (NVC) national visa center then off to you consulate. The you will get an Interview date Please read this K-1 guide so that you can familiarize yourself with the process and what to expect.

Good Luck!

You should have received a Notice Of Action 1 (NOA1) in the mail with your receipt number in the letter

I think you should call USCIS and find out

Thanks. I also sent in the application to get the notifications to my email and nothing has been sent. I've checked my spam folder too.
