Hi everyone,

Hopely I can get answer here ASAP...as you see my Biometric is scheduled today and I got a call from my husband letting me he run into some kid of transportation trouble..that being said, I am worried about the possiblity of showing at our local USCIs late..I tried calling the USCIS hotline but all answers I got was merely fromthe script..any idea if they will still allow us to attend the Biometric if we run a few minutes to an hour late? - I am crossing my finger that hopefully we really wont be late :'(

Thanks everyone!

It should be ok.. I was on time at my biometrics appointment but got refused because I didn't have my marriage certificate to prove my new name (the one on the biometrics letter!). The woman told me it was ok if I had to go back home and come back later. There is usually a long line anyway.. Just show up as soon as you can. :)

They have people scheduled every hour, if they have one person more in the next hour, it should be ok (if not everybody show up late!!).

Thanks for the reply...I was done with my biometric...The UCIS office wasn't full pack of people, infact there's been only a few. when I arrive I was already the 4th in line :D everyone was nice there :D I wonder why I wasn't asked for my marriage certificate? I used a hyphenated last name my family name and my husbands last name..tho I have had it when me just if they might need it.

Good! So I guess you were not that late? :)

Maybe the employee checking was not as strict as the one I got during my biometrics.. Good thing you had the paper with you anyway, it's better to be more prepared.

The employees there at the local USCIS office where i just did my Biometric were all nice...they aint strict. Well, i think it's because they really are not pressured...they've got few people in there that time I have had my Biometric. Oh I arrive there probably 10 minutes late but they never even bother asking or making big deal of it.

Here in seattle, it's no big deal if you're late in less than an hour, people usually make excuses like they got stuck in traffic which usually happen around here. Most employees are very friendly as well -) Good luck on your AOS!
