We just heard the response of both Romney and the Kenyan to the U.S. being attacked Clearly Romney is the man to lead this country. The Kenyan said nothing that matters on this issue of the US being attacked. WOW.....Amature hour in the White House

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

U.S. President Barack Obama strongly condemned Wednesday the killing of J. Christopher Stevens, Washington's ambassador to Libya, in a mob attack at a U.S. Consulate, fueled by anger over a film mocking Islam.

Obama called the attack "outrageous," and confirmed that three other Americans were killed by rockets fired at the U.S. Consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi.

"Chris was a courageous and exemplary representative of the United States," Obama said.

"Today, the American people stand united in holding the families (of those killed) in our thoughts and in our prayers."

Obama said he will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the attackers.

Mitt Romney on Wednesday called the killing of the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other embassy personnel "outrageous" and "disgusting," and said "America will not tolerate attacks against our citizens and against our embassies."

Yeah, two totally different statements. One is clearly better than the other.

Nothing made his statement superior. The attack line waged on the administration - inappropriate in light of the tragedy the nation experienced - was unsurprisingly not a fact based statement.

Now we know that Romney isn't going to let his campaign be based on facts - his campaign made that clear - but this is just another blunder they committed in a desperate attempt to make it appear that their candidate has any foreign policy credentials at all. Which, of course, he does not. They're desperate and it's usually fun to watch. When Americans are killed in violent attacks, however, the nation must stand together. Romney doesn't understand that.

I agree.

The unfortunate thing is that the Romney dunce doesn't have the benefit of being sorrounded strategically by military type folks like Obama does.

And by the way, I think "The Kenyan" has a name. And he said it in a not-very-respectful manner. Dumb dumb! :bonk: :bonk:
