Hello all,

We are Sept 2011 filers for removal of my husband's condition. We sent in all our documents last year with the I-751. Finally received a RFE back in late June, we sent all extra evidence on July 1st. Didn't hear from them, as the letter states if you do not hear from us within 60 days. So we decided to call Customer Service. They told us they were done with the Oct 2011 filers and that they were going to send our info so that we could be contacted. That was more than 2 wks ago.

Should we request an Infopass appt?

We are at the borderline of desperation and anger :(

Thanks!

If you file for naturalization that will force the adjudication/completion of the I-751. If you are not planning to apply for naturalization then an Infopass appointment would make sense.

Infopass is dependent on how busy the local office is. At our local office I was able to schedule an appointment within a couple of days. You make the appointment online and choose your day and time. Hope you get some answers!

Another taking forever I751 applicant.

Don't worry. What you should do now is make an InfoPass. However the purpose of this InfoPass to your local office is to get an I-551 extension stamp onto your passport so your 1-year extension you received after applying the I751 will get extended for another year.

You gotta keep yourself in the status before they come up and go "A-HA! Now you are out-of-status, we can have you removed" blah blah blah.

Of course you can ask them the status of the application at the same time too.
