What papers do I need to get together before I leave just in case it does ? I have a co-sponsor I need to know what she needs to get together also please. Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between March 4, 2013 and March 9, 2013*.

If you'll be back in Jan 15th then you'll be fine unless VSC will move faster than the rate they're going right now :)

As to what you need once you'll receive the NOA2 for Scotland, sorry I can't be of help. I'm also learning the process by reading tons of threads here. Good luck!

Hi Sara, as Tintin and Mike said, you should have plenty of time to go to Scotland and come back before NOA2 reaches your door; however, you may want to consider leaving someone from your family on alert just in case you get a RFE requesting more evidence.

You should also have plenty of time for your co-sponsor to get all her information ready later on. It's too soon, now.

Please visit the UK forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/ for all your concerns. You have a lot of information there and knowledgeable people that can assist you with the specifics of your consulate.

If you want to take it with you so that you do not need to send it later, I will tell you what you need. I need to fill out form I-134 http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-134.pdf if you are able to sponser her (income has to be above poverty line) http://www.fiancee-visa.info/fiancee_visa_requirements.html If you are not above that, which is totally fine, you can either have a family or friend sponser her, in which case, have them fill out the first link and also get a letter from their/your employer stating how long you have been there and how much you make, as well as a W-2 form. You could Also Joint sponser in which case you fill out the first link and then someone else fills out this http://www.fiancee-visa.info/fiancee_visa_requirements.html as well as the employer letters and w-2 forms of each of you. You should also make sue she has a complete copy of the I-129F Petition you first sent in as well as any proof. This is just in case of course. The NOA2 is easy to send because it doesn't have to be the original (from what I understand). You can scan it into a computer and email it. Unless you get an RFE, this should be all she needs :) plus her medicals and such.

Good luck and I'll let you know if I find out she needs anything else since I am going through this step right now :)

For LONDON

You do not need a copy of the petition or NOA2. Keep it in the USA.

One sponsor does an I 134. There is no joint. It's the petitioner or somebody else who makes enough money.

A W2 goes with a tax return not by itself. However, London does not require a tax return/W2 if you have other good proof of income.

London does not require an employer letter if you have other good proof of income.

but I don't make enough so only my sister will fill out the I134 even though I am the petitioner ?then why does everyone keep talking about co sponsors ?

Sorry If the Co-Sponser talk confused you and anyone else. I think that if you have 2 people that together have enough money to sponser your fiance(e), then they use the joint sponser. If your sister makes enough money, then just have her fill out the one form I-134. There is a space for the relationship of the alien fiancee to your sister. You can simple put Future Sister-in-law, or something similar. (However, be careful not to say "sister-in-law" without "future" or "to-be" in there. Wouldn't want them to think you are already married).

Hope this helped clear up what I said earlier.

Goodluck,

K

Everyone keeps forgetting to mention that SSI cannot be counted as income for any affidavit of support with the Service or DOS.

That's SSI income of ANY sponsor.

SSDI income or SS retirement can be counted. SSI cannot. Which is it?

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.
