Isn't the premise of all marriage to be mutually beneficial?

Yes, but I'd argue there's a big difference between choosing a partner based on what they might be able to provide by virtue of their character and their hard work and what their government may be able to provide you.

Exactly

I hope to benefit from a happy life with my husband because we shares values and goals that we can work together to achieve, not because of his wallet or his citizenship.

My fiance and I have a running joke. He lives in Zarka, Jordan. Zarka means blue, I always tell him I'm using him for a blue card

ps. I'm not saying all men go by an elaborate plan, but I am saying if they really do not love the person and just want benefits then it really is quite a big scheme.

your sounding like an expert.. perhaps your man is using you!

What are some of the things that make you question sincerity and intentions? We don't have to give specific examples. (besides the basic DOS guidelines)

For me one of the major red flags I see is when I see the same pattern in different people. Same things are said, almost like a script. I get really concered when I see that.

I still think a very large age difference is suspicious for men from ME/NA countries.... however I don't really know what it's like because Hicham and I are both young and have a very small age gap.

I agree with you it's like some men have a mental list of things they have to remember to say to the woman in order for her to not be doubtful and it is like a script. It can be overkill big time especially if they are saying over and over again how they just dont' want to leave their family but they will do whatever needs to be done to be with their wife.

so is this some sort of TWISTED ploy. to insult those ladies that have returned petitions

I am offended for those ladies that have to read this trash..

Funny...6 pages of discussion with not one insult, then you enter. Coincidence? I think not!

I don't think any name or group was mentioned. If you don't like the topic then don't participate. Obviously by the 6 pages on this thread, several people do enjoy it.

Shon why does this topic upset you so much?

beause your respect for others and members on this board is insulting.

your not a nice person. I think it shows.

The only person that is showing their true colors is you. Everyone gets along fine until you show up. See a pattern here Shon?

while that may be true... in this particular topic, there have been no insults or any person/group named... none of what you read into it has actually been mentioned at all.
