Chevy isn’t losing $49,000 on every Volt it sells, for God’s sake

are you aware there's quite a few active military/former military on this site who may take offense to that statement?

I don't take offense, I consider the source. The military in general is better educated, and better paid than their civilian counterparts.

I only spent thirty years in the military and earned six college degrees, including two Masters of Aeronautical Science. The military paid for all of it. Oh, and I was enlisted, not commissioned.

You mean the folks that seem to always get butthurt and hit the report button?

Especially the ones who report everything and don't even post in the thread. Or report someone for the same thing they do on a regular basis.

Ditto.

Perosonally I would never buy a US-made car. Every US made car I have ever had or ever ridden in has been a POS. It just makes no sense to buy a US made car. I also rarely buy electronics made in the US. Key word... rarely.

Regardless, I'll stick with Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus, Mercedes, and BMW. I really don't care how much gas costs. I only drive about 1,000 miles/month anyhow.

But you like to live here, right? Pathetic.

I am happy with my chevy not a volt but a Cruze has awesome gas miliage.

I think the Cruze looks sharp but I have never driven one... I see many of them in the streets... I like their styling and stance, reminiscent of the Pontiac G6/G8...

Do they handle well?

I have seen Eric's. It looks nice, and I rented a Cruze for a week-long vacation putting about 1,500 miles on it. It was a good ride. I prefer the Honda Civic, which I also took on an extended vacation, but for the price, it is not a bad car.

Yes they do hugs the road has a sporty feel and build solid compared to a Honda Civic made of a tin can lol. I like the features and how think the doors are they are heavy and break your fingers if not careful lol.

Then the car and the looks match...

I dislike the Civic with abandon, for the most irrational of reasons: I find it insipid in styling. I never drove one so I really shouldn't have an opinion, but it is one of those cars that make me cringe... (If you remember the Pontiac Aztec I am sure you can relate....)

nothing at the moment. ask me again in about 20 minutes & you might get a different answer.

every gearhead on the planet knows SSBB is slang for the 4 strokes of an internal combustion engine. it means Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Blow. you might know the strokes as intake, compression, combustion, & exhaust. i'd give you the poster most fullofshit on VJ award for today. you've earned it. ;)

so an enviromentalist is concerned about the oil that gets recycled & not about the unrestricted emissions on a street rod or the fossil fuels being burned at an excessive rate for pure entertainment. gotcha now i understand. how about i come up with a reasonable reason for not having a lab test used oil instead? if your oil is black & gritty to the touch on the dipstick, it needs to be changed. continuing to use a lubricant loaded with dirt & abrassives on machined surfaces with minimal clearance between them or actually touching each other is pure ignorance.

do you remember earlier when you called yourself a dumbass? i agree with you now.

idk about the untied states military. but, the united states military's entrance exam, the armed services vocational aptitude battery (asvab) requires someone to be a tick past retarded to pass. our military brass is known for buying $50 claw hammers & $100 toilet seats...so you tell me herschel. is our military full of the best & brightest?

I'll take that award, at least it's just for a day. I'll least I don't have the lifetime VJ Imbecile award that you have

I'm an educated person and I offer no apologies that I don't know every single backwood slang you and your country bumpkin friends come up with. Sorry I don't swim in your fetid pool

I'm waiting for the electric one ton dually.

I'm impressed with the Tahoe Hybrid. We've got a whiel to go though befoe we'l lsee a full electric high tonnage mass produced vehicle.

What does what kind of car I drive or what kind of products I buy have anything to do with where I like to live?

It's a big earth. Some people need to get over this idea that the US needs to be the big badass in this world.

I'm going to buy the best products and services that fit my needs. I.e. If I only want to buy only foreign cars... who has the right to tell me I cannot? How is that pathetic?

Interestingly, I am going to buy a Tahoe or Yukon in the next few months. Mainly because my wife and I decided it would be a good extra car.
