What a tragedy - and it happened on a Tuesday like today. A day that changed the world

I lost a first cousin on my fathers side. I didn't really know him and he was in his early fifties. He went to check out a job because he was a contractor and when the first plane hit he was in the impact area.

Mourning the loss of innocent life but also celebrating the new life that entered the world on this day - my daughter's birthday. My little angel was born on the fifth anniversary of that dark day. Oh, and it's also New Year's in Ethiopia today so if you see Ethiopians partying today, don't think badly of them they're just celebrating New Year's.
