We moved... got an RFE of course

Hi there...

We bought a house and thus, have moved and I changed my address with USCIS and of course they RFE'd us w hich makes sense. So, I'm just wondering... what from our mortgage package should I send? I have the HUD docs that show the transfer of the new house and such and I have the tax assessment bill and as well, a copy of the bill we're sent from our mortgage company to pay our mortgage... Do you all think that this is the right documentation? it's hard to figure out which document they want, I figure as long as it shows a loan, a purchase agreement and the address, we'll be fine?

If any knows anything else or can add, that would be lovely. I don't want to send them the whole entire mortgage package as that seems stupid to me.

BLAH! I don't have any particular advice, but I'm sorry to hear you got RFE'd! It's kind of incredible, since you're one of the most organized people I have ever come across on VJ. It must be a completely random "check" by USCIS. I suspect that a copy of your mortgage and tax assessment bill should be fine, as well as a copy of your most recent tax return (since you likely didn't include the 2011 return in your initial package). Changed addresses on bills etc. is always good too.

Hope it's a quick turnaround for your RFE!

Sorry to hear about your RFE, atleast you know they are working on your case. I am (Nov 17 2011 filler) still in pending without any information.

What did u sent originially with the I-751. What they are asking for in RFE, Good luck.

Hi everyone! Hi Wyatt!! I'm not worried about the RFE, they are asking us to prove that we still live together. Makes sense to me. The document asks us for a copy of a lease or mortgage documents. We changed our address midway so I assume they're ensuring we are still a couple.

I just need to know if we are sending the right mortgage document.

You didn't mention whether or not your husband filed a Change of Sponsor Address as well. That's a separate form that you might want to make sure you send in.

That's great advice. Yeah, it's a HUGE pain in the butt -- I cannot wait to get all this done and naturalize and not have to worry about all this flurry of gather documents and such ever again. Seriously -- this is getting old...

I would venture to guess that most folks forget. They fill out the AR-11 for themselves, but when there's no indication that the sponsor (spouse!) has moved as well, it probably raises a red flag on USCIS' end.

It's been over nine months since I initially sent my package in (I had a minor RFE at the very outset). The waiting sucks, but being with my wife and able to live a functional life in the U.S. is what matters the most.

I would just send the HUD statement, and maybe a joint utility bill.
