DOS said they sent the letter home to send the passport

HI i am little confuse here...my fiance called DOS today and they said that they sent the letter on Friday...we haven't actually received the letter yet, but what does that possibly mean?

what are the times when embassy wants the passport??

If they are asking for your passport, it means good news coming to your doorstep.. I hope.

You will have to deposit this to your nearest VFS with the letter that embassy has sent to you.

I hopw you are right, but thing is that we haven't received the letter yet..they sent it on friday..

I do not know where do you live but Embassy sends letters through normal Indian post and it never get delivered or get delayed. Don't wait for that letter, just write an email referring DOS that you have not received it yet. They will send it to you through email.

WE told DOS about it...they said we have to wait till the letter arrives..and my fiance also mailed to vfs saying we haven't received the letter yet...so lets see what happens :)
