How long to get interview after RFE?

I'm currently married to a USC. We applied for AOS on July 17th, and on August 17th USCIS sent us a request for Evidence, which we responded to on the 23rd of August. My status changed to resquest for evidence response review on the 6th of this month. What should I expect next? An interview letter? If so, in about how long, since my priority date is always current? Also, my biometrics were done on the 28th of Aug. When should I expect to get EAD?I appreciate the help! 

My Timeline:

12/18/11-Got married 

12/29/11- Sent I-130 as Spouse of LPR

01/09/12- Got receipt for I-130

07/04/12- Husband became USC

07/17/12- Sent I-485, I-765, I-864

08/06/12- Received Biometrics letter for 08/28

08/12/12- Got receipts for I-485 and I-765

08/17/12- Email notification for RFE

08/20/12- Got RFE: For letter explaining why husband could not file taxes and proof.

08/23/12- Sent RFE

08/28/12- Biometrics done

09/02/12- I-130 was transferred from California to NBC (Missouri)

09/06/12- Status updated to "Request for evidence response review"

Oct. 03, 2012: Received interview appt. for Nov. 7, 2012

Oct. 04, 2012: EAD in production notification received!!

Nov. 17, 2012: Received Green Card!!!! :D

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

I felt bad that you weren't getting any answers so I decided to take a stab at it. :)

No one can be sure what you'll get next. If they accept your response to the RFE, then likely you'll get an interview letter. But those can take awhile.

I've seen EAD's come anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months after biometrics. Again, no one can do anything but guess.

I know it's hard, but you just have to sit and wait for something else to happen. Hang in there!

5/21/2012 - Email/text notifications received at 4:50 p.m.

5/26/2012 - NOA hard copies received for I-130, I-485 and I-765

6/19/2012 - Biometrics completed.

7/02/2012 - Text/email/hard copy notification of interview.

7/30/2012 - EAD card production ordered.

8/02/2012 - Interview @ 2:00

8/02/2012 - Email notification of GC production at 5:30pm

8/07/2012 - Second GC production email

8/07/2012 - EAD received.

8/08/2012 - GC mailed.

8/09/2012 - Welcome letter and I-130 approval letter received.

8/10/2012 - Green card received. :)

AOS is typically taking between 3 and 4 months from initial submission. The RFE can be assumed to delay everything by 2-3 weeks, so you can expect it to be finished sometime in mid to late November. You'll probably get an interview appointment letter a month before that. EAD can arrive any time from a couple of days after biometrics to a week or two after the interview! It's a crapshoot. You'll have to wait and see.

Potentially yes - look at the dates in your timeline. Your case was essentially on pause from 8/17 (notification that an RFE was on the way to you) to 9/6 (notification that they'd received your response). If you're lucky, this delay will only affect the I-485 and not the I-765, so it might not delay your EAD. There's so much unpredictable variation between cases though. Just try not to fret too much and wait it out.

Here is my time line:

04/21/2012 got married

07/23/2012 mailed AOS papers

07/26/2012 Package received by USCIS

08/04/2012 Got recites for 130, 130, 485,765

08/17/2012 Biometrics walk in (20days earlier)

08/17/2012 RFE received (I-864 issues)

09/08/2012 Sent Response to RFE

09/11/2012 USCIS got my response, case is being processed at NBC.

09/21/2012 EAD, AP appoved

09/29/2012 EAD/AP received in mail.

its 10/06/2012 and no news so far.... Very confused, as I checked other absolutely similar cases (even day to day as mine) and people already have their interviews scheduled.. My case stuck for some reason... Is it normal? What's a time line between getting EAD and interview notice?

There isn't a specific answer. It really just depends on how busy your local office is.
