I was about to say that credit scores only go to 850...but I see there is another system now that goes to 990. How confusing... :wacko:

One that really matters (FICO) goes up to 850. Others are not very relevant...

No. Too many inquires make you look desperate. If you spouse has good credit, get a joint card in both your names. Put your name as the primary, or list it first. Make a small purchase and pay it off

You must be joking... All "how to build credit" guides recommend to not exceed 30% of limit at any time to build credit and you're talking about holding 45% balance...

Then I guess I reached the limit.... Transunion told me I cannot get any higher untI I buy a house :blink: :blink:

Before you could get a gas card, might be worth a try.

Do you mean a reward card from gas stations? If Yes, I do have that and I don't think it counts towards credit because if that be then i should be having some credit history.
