Can anyone tell me if I am allowed to go with my fiance through customs/immagration?

I have NEXUS International clearance, but would rather walk her through it.

Do they also have Chinese speaking agents.

Chicago entry.

As long as you are on an incoming international flight at that time you will be passing through customs too.

Walk in to that area from the street? No.

I was traveling with my Chilean fiance as we journeyed from Santiago to Chicago. We had a layover in Mexico City. We feel really blessed that our trip and his entry to the US was VERY smooth. We arrived to Chicago at 1:40pm, and upon arriving to the immigration area, there was hardly any line. I asked a uniformed person who was standing around if I could go in the same line as my fiance who was entering on a K1 fiance visa, and they told me, that yes, I could. So, we went together to the line that they directed us to. We waited probably less than 5 minutes in line, and when we went up to the immigration officers desk, I pretty much did all the talking (my fiance doesn't speak much English yet). I handed him my passport and told him that I was coming with my fiance, who is entering on a K1 visa, and the guy sighed and said a sarcastic, "great!" Then my fiance handed the officer his passport and his sealed envelope. The officer had him put the four fingers of his right hand on a green screen thing to confirm his finger prints, and also told him to look at a camera to take his picture. Then he opened the envelope, looked at the first and last pages, rearranged the stack of papers a bit, and then stamped his passport and stapled the I-94 to one of the pages in his passport. The only question he asked my fiance, was where we would be living, and we said, Madison, Wisconsin. Then he told us that our information would be sent to Wisconsin and that they would contact us. He said, "the only thing you guys have to do is get married. Take care."

Over all VERY SMOOTH, and no hassles. But I really think it helped that we arrived at a low traffic time.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

There won't be any Chinese speaking customs and immigration officers, but if it is required, they may ask for someone from the airline to assist. If you go through with her, you can help her and go to the window together.

Just last month, my husband and I went through Detroit customs/immigration together, but my husband has told people working there that I have got K1 visa, and he is my fiance. I did not found Chinese speaking agents there, and also we took Delta airline from Japan to US,so in the airplane they only speak English and Japanese. But Immigration officer did not ask so many questions, and at beginning, my husband answered some questions for me and I just laughing. They can see your name in her K1 visa as petitoner for her.

LOL. I laughed because Geek is funny person and even having joke with officers who also laughed. The officers there in Detroit are nice and procedures are simple actually, so having joke with them is fine.

POE , with the handover of the manila packet, is dead easy. What concerns do you have, really?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

one question:

should my spouse enter the line of "US Citizens/Residents", or "Visitors"?

I suppose the 1st one, but she does not have the physical green card yet, only a visa stamp on the passport, and btw, would she get a I-94 upon entry?

Honestly if she is going alone I would tell her to go to the shortest line. Either one can process her. If she is confident and her yingwen is passable she shouldn't have any trouble.

'which line' won't matter. she can walk with you in the USCitizen's line. The CBP goon will know what to do with her passport, visa packet that she's hand carrying, and whatnots.

What I think is USEFUL, is to make certain that the CBP goon DOES NOT MISSPELL her name in the SAVE database that he's doing data entry work on, and also that the A# is not entered incorrectly. I'd be over that CBP goon LIKE A HAWK, making certain for no typos, even asking him to spell it outloud, read the numbers outload, as soon as he touched a keyboard. Proper SAVE database entry is useful later, when applying for a SSN at a SSA office.

and

The I-94 is issued on entry at the POE. She has to fill it out on the international flight, but if you two forget, don't sweat it, as there are empty I-94s on the long pathway from the plane to the first immigration desk.

Thanks guys.

She is going to travel by herself. That is why I am a little bit concerned. I don't think her English is good enough to ask the officer to double check her name/A#. Hack, I don't even know where is her A# yet. Is it inside that big envelop? Or it is the "Registration Number" on her visa stamp? There is definitely no "Alien" in front of that "Registration" word on her visa stamp.

And I think I-94 is for non-immigrant only?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Form_I-94

(check the 2nd-3rd line)

So I think she should NOT fill out the I-94, or am I wrong?
