RFE

Hi! My fiance and I have applied for a k1 visa in March 2012. In August 2012we got an RFE requiring evidence of personal meeting. We are almost done completing our documentations for the RFE. I have two questions now that we watn to send it:

- how long does it take to get a response after sending in the RFE documents?

- I have heard that it takes a long time (near two months) for the RFE package to reach the officer in charge of one's case. and that if you send it to a specific address (or via specific mail) it will reach the officer sooner? has anyone heard anything about this? Is it really possible to speed up this step of the process by sending documents to another, faster address?

Like many others me and my fiance want to be able to be together sooner and anything that can help speed it up would mean so much.

I send my RFE on regular mail and the received it in 3 days the I got my NOA 2 in less then 2 wks... Good luck on your journey

I agree is the IO is on top of the RFE return it should be a couple of weeks.

I am going to try and give you some hope---

Received RFE hard copy in the mail, 12/03/11, return mailed, 12/05/11 and it was received at CSC 12/06/11--2011-12-08 email and text sent of approval.

Just wanted to see how you followed up the delay. Unfortunately 2 months has passes since we mailed our rfe package but no answer. In the status update it said that reviewing the rfe should take 60 days, 60 days have gone by but we still haven't gotten an answer.

Could you please tell me what happened to your case and the steps you toke to follow up your delay?

I would really appreciate it.
