AOS filing Questions

Please accept my apology if this is posted in the wrong section of the forum.

While I am waiting on I-130 to be approved, I began looking into the next steps which is the Affidavit of Support particularly I-864. I chose that because I am the petitioner but my Uncle has agreed to be a joint sponsor and therefor had to use I-864 instead of I-864EZ.

Now my question is, on I-864, Part 2 Information on your principle immigrant, Can I use my mailing address or Do I have to use the address she lives in? I ask because the mail system is pretty bad where she lives and it tends to get lost often. I am the petitioner of this applicant.

Thank you in advance

Also, I am little confused on this checklist for AOS:

Ensure that evidence of current employment or self-employment including a recent pay statement, or a statement from your employer on business stationery, is attached. A letter from your employer must show the date you began employment, the type of work done, and your income.

Will a letter from my company and a recent pay stub be sufficient? I just recently moved onto a new job and since my employment just began is that going to be a problem?

Sorry I must add another question. I couldn't edit my post.

For ASO i did not meet poverty guidelines requirements looking at the tax returns from years 2009,2010, and 2011, but I just recently landed a job that actually meets the requirement if I was to use a gross income calculator. Is that okay? or Is mine okay or should i have my uncle do joint sponsor?

It's fine to use her address. They don't mail anything to her. They need to know all her info here.

Yes a letter of employment stating your Title, pay and when you started work is fine. And your gross income. And if you have year to date paystubs your most current will do when you file.

Now thats a judgement call. I am in same boat with 2011 I didn't work at all. It doesn't hurt to have a jount sponsor as back up. Submit your affidavit of support and if they ask for a joint sponsor you will have that. Thats my suggestion.

And it should be what you make in a year. So if its above $18915 u should be okay. They are more interested about current what you are doing now.

Thank you both for replying back!

So even though I meet the requirement for 2012 using the gross annual income calculator, I do not want to slow things down and my uncle has decided to file as joint sponsor and we have moved onto filing I-864. Now Do I myself have to file a I-864 or just my uncle who will be joint sponsor. I am aware that I-864A also needs to be filed along with I-864. If I have to file one myself and my uncle also has to file one, can we mail it together?

Thanks again!

You file an I-864, your uncle as a joint sponsor also files an I-864. The entire package can be mailed together.
