i forgot to ask...

if treatment is needed,,, what will be the costs for the medicines ?

thanks :)

For US Visa Applicants there is no additional cost for DOT. We did not pay anything other that the fee for the Medical Exam. Please keep in mind that in our case, the medical exam results for K1 and K2 are valid for 6 months. Since it will expire before our Visa Interview, my Fiancee and her daughter will have to take their medical exams a second time even though my step-daughter already passed and was immunized. Hence, we have to pay for their medical exams again.

Just as an FYI, I heard that applicants for other countries have to pay an additional fee for their DOT. That sucks!

  • 1 year later...

My husband just started his DOT last Feb 4. He supposed to have his interview this coming Monday, Feb 10. When I heard the news from him that he'll have to undergo this treatment, it broke my heart into pieces as it's gonna a long delay. But on the brighter side atleast he'll be cured and that's more important. Anyway, my question is, do I have to contact USEmbassy in Manila or the NVC from time to time just to "keep the communication" with them. Cause what I know if a certain time had passed and they haven't heard anything from anyone about case chances are they'll cancel the case. Your reply is greatly appreciated.
