Yes, that is. If you are approved, you will then become a permanent resident and receive a green card valid for 2 or 10 years.

Are you adjusting status based on a marriage to a US citizen? If yes, when did you get married?

No, it is family based , my daughter (a U.S. citizen) is sponsoring me, so after the the interview , i wait to get approved, then whats after that, ive read things about a stamp on my passport? if you can give ay clarification it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

oh and if its approved do they tell me at the interview , or I wait for a case update on uscis?

They will tell you after the interview.

Sometimes they do tell you, sometimes they don't. It depends on the officer. Stamp in the passport is not commonly done, do not worry about it (most of the people don't have their passport stamped, it's not a problem). :)
