Case Number?

Hi all!

I just called the NVC & the woman on the line told me she was just working on my case & would have it sent out to the U.S. Embassy in Haiti later today!

She gave me a Case Number. Does this number now replace the Receipt Number on the NOA1? It's what the Haiti office uses to identify us?

I've emailed the embassy in Haiti (per VJ advice) to ask for Packet 3 to be emailed to me. I'm also working on getting paperwork together here.

Can anyone clarify: it's only the following forms & supporting evidence that need to be given to the U.S. Embassy in Haiti PRIOR to the interview?

• Form DS-230 Part I (“Biographic Data”)

• Form DS-156 (“Application for a Nonimmigrant visa”)

• Form DS-156K (“ Nonimmigrant Fiancé (e) Visa Application”)

• Form I-134

Or do we just have to submit the DS-156 & bring the rest with for the interview? Sending paperwork to Haiti is NOT easy, so I'd like to cut down on the number of times I send things down. Since I plan on going down there for the interview, I'd like to bring as much with me as is possible, rather than sending it.

Yes, from now on, the embassy will identify your case file with the number the NVC provided.

You are at the fun stage of the game...Packet 3... Follow the directions in packet 3, fprward the email to your fiance if you can. Since you will be there for the interview bring your full copy of everything with you along with more pics and evidence to be on the safe side.

Your fiancé will send all required documentation to the embassy via Haiti Messenger BEFORE the interview. The only thing you and he will bring to the interview are passports and any additional evidence you want to submit as proof of ongoing relationship. Of course, you should have copies (or originals, if applicable) of everything you submitted as part of the I-129F petition and K-1 visa application with you also.

In addition to the forms you listed, there's a form DS-157 that will need to be completed.

So you mean he will send all 4 forms & financial evidence BEFORE the interview? SO I do have to send that down to him?
