Why did you cut it so close as to have a problem? Seems you should have known the answer before you filed.

To be fair, he's already said that most of his travel is due to his work. He works for an American company, but they frequently send him on overseas trips. What is he supposed to do? Tell his boss he won't go?

EDIT - Can't belive I'm defending a Gooner! As an Owl, those two finals in 1993 still hurt.

If you had read my posts, you will see that we did know the answer and left a few days to spare. We filed the same way throughout our visa journey, leaving a few days to spare on filing timelines. Everything was done by the book, spot on. This was completely unexpected and we were blindsided by this officer's incompetence. I was merely asking the questions above to see if by some remote chance that my math was wrong. It wasn't.

Haha, thanks mate. If it's any consolation, every Visajourney.com username I choose somehow causes said player for which the username represents to jump the Arsenal ship. Here's a quick update:

As I mentioned, we sent in our response to the RFE on August 16. It was received on August 20 according to the USPS delivery receipt.

Today our online status finally changed:

On October 4, 2012, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our CHARLOTTE, NC location. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use the processing time information on our website to estimate when this case will be done. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.Once a timely response to the request for evidence is received by USCIS, we review the evidence or information you submitted. That's right, received on October 4. Well, hopefully this means it is moving again. Fingers crossed...

Placed in line for oath scheduling. Apparently I had enough days inside the country. Hopefully it will be in time for election day.

Nope. Today is the last day to register fore the election. My wife has her oath ceremony Thursday. She missed it by 2 days.
