Absolutely. Technology always had to do with productivity gains. What's your point?

I think my point was that the productivity gains were due to technology ... Dude you been hitting the bong ?

Yes, water is wet. Wanna talk about other obvious things or try to explain why starting in 1980, productivity gains failed to result in wage gains but rather almost completely went into corporate profits. That wasn't the case before even if technology was the driver for productivity gains then as well. It always has been.

That's not the economy.

+140K jobs / month (2012 average) is better than -200K jobs / month (2008 average).

+1.5% worth of GDP growth (projected 2012) is better than -3.5% (2008).

A stable unemployment rate - even at 8.1 - beats a rapidly rising unemployment rate which we saw in 2008.

This is reflected in the consumer confidence index which hit an all time low of 38 in Oct 2008. That index now stands above 60.

140K jobs but the unemployment rate is still higher... Hmmm maybe your leaving off part of the equation ??

Projected.. Is that really the best you can do. I project I am going to be a jet pilot next year .. LOL

There are 57 states. What in the world are you talking about.

The fact is almost every measurable statistic is worse than the day he took over... You can't change that

For August 2012, those not counted in the labor force but report they actually want and need a job increased by 403,000 in a month. That, folks, should have you horrified. Literally we have desperate and destitute people falling through the statistical crevasse, into the abyss where they can only shout out from the numerical darkness, yes I want a job!

Respectfully disagree. Clinton said no twice prior to 9-11

You think Technology might have anything to do with productivity gains. The advent of managed logistic chains, etc etc

I stand corrected, I forgot about Clinton turning down the chance to get Bin Laden. Now there's a decision that should haunt him. Had Clinton had said yes andtaken Bin Laden out, think of all the lives that could've been saved. Even if the mission had failed, at least he wouldn't be the fall guy for letting Bin Laden go.

Yep. They never let Carter forget about the failed rescue operation in Iran. Apparently in Right Wing alternate universe, Democrat presidents only get credit when things go wrong.

You're correct in that a lot of people wrongly blame Carter for the failed recue operation of the Iranian hostages. I personally have never put any blame on Carter for that because he had nothing to do with the mission other than giving the go ahead, I give him credit for attempting the rescue. Just because some people wrongly give credit to, or blame someone for something they are not responsible for, doesn't mean that most people will not see things for what they really are.

HP hasn't kept up with the market. They missed the train on new technology that replaces their products. How is that Obama's fault? Is he running HP?

The revision comes amid signs that the already slumping personal computer market may weaken even further as an increasing number of sleek smartphones and tablet computers win over consumers.

The shift to mobile devices has hurt HP, the world's largest maker of PCs. HP is preparing to release a new line of tablets this fall and has been trying to diversify into more profitable lines of technology, such as business software and consulting, but Whitman has cautioned it will take several years for the company to bounce back from a litany of problems, including a lack of innovation and acquisitions that haven't panned out.

Everything is Obama's fault. Haven't you learned?

I'm getting a hang of it. If it's successful, it happened despite Obama. Then "we built it". If it fails, then it's Obama fault.

Yup. Business succeds? It succeeded without any help from the government.

Business fails? Government fcked you. Sorry!
