First, go ahead and create your timeline on VJ. So it helps others to know more about your petition.

AFAIK F2A and IR-1/CR-1 visa have the same procedure except the fact that F2A category has a cap per year due to petitioner being LPR and not USC.

Read these two links in detail to understand procedure after NOA2, and you may ask specific questions here on VJ:

Regarding your IRS Transcript question, you will need IRS Transcript or IRS Tax Return Copy along with W-2 and other income stubs. IRS Transcript is the better option and we only provided that in our CR-1 petition. You will need last 3 years IRS Transcript when NVC is ready to process your application. You can request IRS transcript online at anytime for free and will receive it in 10 business days. Since you have another 6 to 9 months wait, I would advice to wait till you get NOA2 and then request transcripts for last three years.

Your husband will need to bring your latest income tax return copy (1040/A) during interview at Mumbai Consulate because NVC will forward all your submitted documents to Consulate prior to your interview. Hope this clarifies your any doubts in mind! Good luck
