a week after receiving your NOA2 the USC should start calling NVC to ask for your case number and as soon as you have it you can schedule your interview just be sure to have a photocopy of the biographic page of your passport, i would suggest you renew your passport because they will be asking for a new one with 5 years validity i guess and choose the schedule by the time you have your passport. Good luck and God bless :)

Where are you from? Can you please complete your profile with this information? This way, others from your country can give you the most accurate information.

As a general suggestion, renew your passport today if you have to.

I would renew your passport now Nancy. My fiance also had to do the same thing last week, but luckily it only took 6 days. Since you email the Embassy in Kuwait once you have all your documents together to schedule your interview, you can do that after you get your new passport and your DS-156 form will have your new passport information as well.

Plus just yesterday my fiance went to transfer his residency from his old passport to his new one and the sponsor has to do it and they required 2 pictures, but with a blue background so he had to go get 2 other passport style photos today. I think he said he had to transfer the residency to get his police certificate in Kuwait? I can't remember exactly. Either way, you probably already know that, but I just thought I would pass it on just in case.
