Hello Everyone,

I am having trouble finding a good fare to pick up my wife. I will be flying from Los Angeles and pick her up in Cebu. Online sites such as Cheapoair do not have the same flights for the one way (my wife) as they do for the round trip (me). The best they could do was to put me on an Asiana flight to Cebu for 1100 and place my wife on the return flight for 2100. I am trying to find a decent fare for both the round trip and the one way. Does anyone have any tips?

Hello Everyone,

I am having trouble finding a good fare to pick up my wife. I will be flying from Los Angeles and pick her up in Cebu. Have you tried calling the airline you are making your flight with and inquiring about a cheaper ticket directly though an operator? Human interaction may get you better results since you can explain you are picking up your wife. They may even suggest a round trip ticket for her, but she would not use the return trip. Many people I know personally have used the round trip route to get the cheaper rate.

Hope this helps. Would like to find a solid answer on this as well as I am about to pick my husband up as well. Wish you both the best!

I recently booked a one way flight to United Airlines through their own website..I hope you can find a cheaper fare for both you from them....

I have always used ASAPtickets.com for my international flights to the Philippines. After searching for prices, you hace to speak to an operator on the toll free reservation line to book the ticket. They have always been the cheapest of all the travel services that I have found. When you call and book the tickets, just tell them that you will be flying round trip and you will be bringing back your wife with you. They will assist you in any way that you need.

Might want to try flying out of Manila. There's better selection there. Also might want to check into a trusted travel agency and inquire about 1st time immigrant fares for your wife. Very reasonable if you have the patience to do it. Very easy if you have your visa already, and they could book both of you on the flights. St. Raphael travel agency is one that we used and I highly recommend. I've heard there's another good agency in Cebu but I forget the name. Best of luck!!

Book cheap flights on PAL or Cebu pacific to manila and tben fly Delta to Los Angeles(1 stop in Tokyo). Fastest andnprobably cheapest. Also, check to see if PAL goes MNL-LAX.

I agree - manage the international out of Manila only. Book Cebu - Manila separate. You will likely spend a night in Manila anyway as many of the East bound / USA bound flights leave very early.

I just checked ASAPTickets.com and their price was about $50 less than CheapOair.com and about $100 less than Delta.conm

Best advice using those sites is start to book your flight all the way up until they ask for your credit card info so you can see the final price you're paying. All sites have different taxes/fees that get added to the price of your ticket.
