Improve ??? It is worse than it was when Obamer took over. Your confused....

Not at all. I just happen to live in the real world where an economy that is shedding hundreds of thousands of jobs a month and shrinks an awesome 9% isn't better than an economy that is growing - albeit slowly - and adding jobs - albeit not as many as we would all wish for. In your parallel universe the former might be better - you must love the thrill of pink slips flying around like crazy.

Right. Since I answered this question...

...my "not old enough" comment made perfect sense. That would have been different had I responded to whether or not I have had experience with Medicaid. You know, hypothetically speaking. But that wasn't the actual question I responded to so I thought it would be prudent not to answer the hypothetical question that wasn't actually asked. Bad judgement on my part?

I looked back you did say Medicare and you were not old enough for it. My bad. See how easy it is too admit when your wrong. You liberals should try it. You would wake up one day and be logical libertarians before you knew it.

Talk about a big tent. Libertarians have room for all.. Gay straight all races... Just love freedom and small government.

Improve ??? It is worse than it was when Obamer took over. Your confused.... Yea yea I know we added some jobs, but we lot a lot more. That figure you keep trotting out is like saying I won 2K in Vegas then forgetting to mention you then lost 22K.

The unemployment rate was at 5% at the start of the recession (DEC 2007).

By the time Obama won the NOV 08 elections we were already deep into the recession (but still not at the peak). We bailed out or took over auto companies, insurance companies, banks, real estate giants, etc., some of which (Lehman Brothers) cruised through the Civil War / the assassination of Lincoln, World Wars, and Great Depressions. But they were not able to survive through this recession.

Within 2 years of the start of the recession (DEC 2007 to DEC 2009) the economy bled profusely. Losing 8.5 million jobs (that is 354k per month average in losses, every month, for 2 years straight). Another million gone every quarter.

The greatest period of job losses were from NOV 2008 to MAR 2009. Five months - Average job loss 732,000 per month (charts below are outdated and were later revised) - Total of 3.66 million jobs lost in those 5 months.

In the 4th quarter of 2008 (just 3 months) $5 trillion 100 billion US net worth vanished.

Now if you want you can go back to 3.66 million jobs lost in 5 months. And a total of 8.5 million lost in 2 years.

An unemployment rate that more than doubles from 5 to 10.2%. And a stock market cut in half.

I'll take 4.6 million (private) job increases in 30 months. (with the Socialist Big Government Obama deleting nearly 600,000 government jobs over the same period).

And a doubled stock market.

Your analogy is horrible. It's not like winning 2k and forgetting to mention you are down 22k.

A better analogy is telling your friends you are up $4.6 million bucks in the last couple years. And forgetting to mention that a few years ago you were down $8.5 million and contemplating suicide because of the staggering hole you were in.

Sure, we are still down. But we aren't in a complete meltdown like we were. It's really not hard to see an improvement. If you don't see it you are not looking at the same numbers I am.

Ywan.. So is the economy better or worse in almost all measurable categories today than when Obamer took Office ? Obamer promised it would not be and that a national debt would be fixed.

How much experience have you personally had with medicare?

You will never please everyone. But Medicare consistently gets higher satisfaction scores in surveys than do private insurance plans! Being a government program they are not allowed to spend millions and billions of taxpayer dollars tooting their own horn. Right-wingers would like to invent a narrative about medicare that it is inefficient and widely disliked. The facts say otherwise!

If I was getting something free I might expect less also.
