Ok, I have a question about the I134 Affidavit of Support. I had read posts on this form, and was under the impression that this form would be one that was completed here after my fiancee's arrival. Was I wrong about this? I was reviewing the forms needed for her interview in Peru, and noticed this form would be sent to her in her Packet 4. My question is, do I need to complete this form and get my completed form to her for her to take to the interview? (I am not going to be able to travel for her interview). I am a little confused about this...I think I know the answer...but just want to make sure.

Thank you for any help you may give.

Yes, your fiancée needs to bring the I-134 and supporting documents to the interview.

The Embassy link states “Highly recommended United States Citizen (fiancee/spouse) attend interview.” I’m not sure if you not attending the interview will affect the outcome. Maybe other people filing with this country have more information.

Yes, I did read that about the Peru Embassy...and I checked with some of the Peru folks on this site...they said if I were not there, it would not be a deal breaker or anything. It is just going to be really difficult for me to get off of work and other obligations this time of the year. Had VSC done their jobs in a timely manner, I probably could have swung it.

Ok, one other question...and this may be a stupid one...but that I134 for her to take to the inteview...that is for my information to support her, correct? Or do they want her financial information there before she arrives here?
