how much was the ticket? how was the plane flight to usa for your husband? Did he make the delta flight on time? how was the poe?

I paid $878.35 on Qatar for one way for my husband (not much more than the $835). He enjoyed his flight, but did not sleep at all even in the hotel Qatar provided. I was the one with the Delta flight... paid $1080 round trip, but that was because I waited to travel on Christmas Eve and return New Years Eve. If not that trip would have been over $1800. His POE was New York City. He didn't have any problems at all upon entry.

do you have to show your credit card if you but a plane ticket for your love ones?

I booked his ticket using a credit card I authorized in his name. He showed the flight itinerary once at the airport and no one ever asked to see the credit card. Good thing they didn't, because we decided for security purposes I would not send it with the DHL package.

Dana, I forgot to add I booked the Qatar flight on Skyscanner and amazingly I got my flight on HOTWIRE. Several posts I've read have said to call Delta directly when booking a 1 way from Lagos, because they allegedly increase the price to deter scammers. I originally found a flight at a wholesale rate to Lagos and I was told they did not accept credit card payments to Nigeria or Ghana.

I believe I am also going to be flying Delta this time. I took United last time, flew from Birmingham, Alabama to Houston, Texas...back over Alabama...to Lagos!!! Talk about a waste of four hours time. And you are right. I could easily drive us home from Atlanta after POE and let my honey see a little "interstate". Hahahaha That's a 4 hour drive though. Without a hotel stay overnight, we probably wouldn't be up for driving that far after such a long flight!

No credit card payment even in the US if I'm booking me round trip? So does this mean I would have to go to the airport and pay cash for his ticket to fly back with me?

Delta is $805 one way to USA from Manila to JFK, NY. The layover is one hour and 35 minutes.

Chinook and I live in Seattle. The quickest way for us to fly to Manila is on Delta.

That makes Delta the best airline in the world for us.
