I-130 Spouse visa process

I submitted the I-130 in April for my spouse in South Korea.

After checking the processing time chart, I expect the NOA2 to arrive next week.

I would like to make sure I don't waste any time. It has already been 5 months...

What is the next step, and how long do I expect the rest of the process to last ??

Also, I submitted my spouses birth certificate original/marriage certificate original and a certified translation with a seal (stamp) with the I-130. Do I need to re-submit originals for the next step for the visa ?? I was wondering if the Homeland secruity will forward those files to the National Visa center ??

Regards,

Timeline

Well just to say. You cant always count on the timelines. Sometimes they can be right and some wrong. I waited almost 8 mon. For my noa2. But the next step would be nvc. They will email you on what to do. The whole process will take at least 7-11 mon? Depending on if you get a RFE. Request for more evidence. But once nvc gets your case you will need to wait for case number and ID number. Then 2 emails one for ds3032 and payment of I864. Then send in packet pay another fee send in more papers then wait for interview date. A very long process. I would look up everything, see if u will need a co sponser get them in line and just have everything in order. But be prepared for anything as you wait, and try to be patient. It helps.. :) good luck! Hope that helps a little bit. We are here to help you if you have any questions. :)

Regards,

As far as timeline no one knows. The estimate on VJ is just that a estimate so saying next week don't count on it.

For the next step please go to the NVC filers thread and read the first 2 post.

Yes you will have to resubmit all the documents originals or certified only. And they do have to be translated.
