I'll obviously get the medical redone.. just wondering if anyone went a different route like congressmen or something.

Your options are send in re-done medical or do not respond which means denial.

Search here for "lost medical." It does happen. You can try the congressperson, but they can't do anything about this. USCIS must have a medical report in your A-file. Do contact them to try to fix this issue for future people though. They should develop their system better so that no medical gets lost.

Ours was lost as well and we got a RFE (they also want a few other things that we submitted with the I-129F). We contacted my Congressman and they contacted USCIS. The upshot is, we have to redo the medical. We have a medical appointment 9/27 and we'll send the info they wanted in ASAP after that.

How they can just lose personal, private info is beyond me, but we will do what we gotta do...

I set up a medical for Wednesday. How do I know they are filling everything out properly? Is there a checklist is forms they have to fill out?

They fill out a I-693 and they are trained to do so. Also, there are instructions. They will give you the I-693 in a sealed envelope - do not open it. Send that in with your RFE. You can ask if they will make a copy of the I-693 for your records before they seal the original one.

This is what it says:

A review of the record indicates that you entered the United States pursuant to a valid K-1 nonimmigrant visa. All USCIS records relating to you have been reviewed. The U.S. Departement of State medical forms DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025 and DS-3026 were not forwarded by the Department of State.

NEW FORM I-693: The applicant is required to submit a new Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, that is properly completed and signed. The newest version of Form I-693 includes the medical information as well as the vaccination record. Under new agency guidance, applicants two yeears of age or older are required to either have a tuberculin skin test or a new blood test ("interferon gamma release assays" or IGRA) performed.

There's some more info there about where to find the civil surgeons list, etc.

There's some more info there about where to find the civil surgeons list, etc.

Call around to the civil surgeons in your area to get the best price: https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=CIV

You can print out your own I-693 and bring it with you, if you wish: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=eb1f3591ec04d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

The civil surgeon knows what is required for an AOS medical. They do them all the time. Bring your vaccination records so they can transcribe those over onto your I-693 too.
