I'm getting ready for my interview in Montreal this Tuesday September 11, anyone else scheduled for that day?

I have been OCD about my documents, I have 2 copies of everything but I still feel like I'm missing something!

Original docs and 2 passport pics are already at the embassy I have:

- a copy of our marriage certificate

- my long form birth certificate

- biographic passport copy

- my passport (with my new married name as well as my old one with my maiden name)

- medical package

- courier confirmation print out from CSC

- interview letter from nvc

- police records

- his US tax return

- print out of electronic DS-260

- copy of I-864

- copies of his domicile in the U.S

- evidence of our relationship

Am I missing anything?

Congrats! Any tips for us?

Advice... keep it simple when you go for your interview and get there early. I was in and out within an hour. I didn't have a bag or electronics (cell, tablets, key fob...leave it all at the hotel) with me and all of my paper work was in order. The interview itself was a breeze, she asked me 2 questions and that was it! you'll be fine and i know your interview seems really far away right now but it sneeks up on you QUICKLY! I'd get all of your paperwork in order now so you won't have to worry about it later.

UPDATE - I got my passport today! 2 business days after my interview! I'm crossing the border on Sunday and will update you guys again on how that went :)

GOOD LUCK

i had my interview on tuesday....and was approved!. i'm a k-1 and TJChu was a IR 1/CR 1 so maybe that makes the difference. I do not have my visa yet and don't really expect it from DHL till early next week.

the actual interview was simple...where does he live? how did you meet? how did you get engaged? I had the girl with the dreadlocks...a really sweet person but she seemed really upset or preoccupied....which made me nervous ....but being 9-11 and 9 am (right after the workers paused from work to attend a brief ceremony and minute of silence for those who lost their lives) it could have been this that made her appear the way she did.

I will write more in my MTL interview review....which will be posted soon

Oh I had the same interviewer. She looked overly skeptical about pretty much every answer I gave her to the questions. It was very unnerving. I'm not sure it was just because of the day. I think she just tries to look like she's very involved in what you're saying. In retrospect, I read her expression as "and then"?

Best of luck on the return of your passport!

did they ask you for additional photos?

curious...as others have posted no additional passport photos were asked for...and neither were mine....yet I had them as it was stated on packet 3 and 4. thinking MTL is no longer requiring additional photos since they use ds160 electronically and have you send in 2 photos with packet 3.

No they didn't require 2 extra photos on the day of the interview (for me anyway). Now I have 2 extra. Grrr.. I wish I hadn't had to spend the money on them. Perhaps I'll have some need of them in the near future.

Side note: Have you received your passport back yet?
