Joe Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6am. While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA ) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG ). He put on a dress shirt ( MADE IN SRI LANKA ), designer jeans ( MADE IN SINGAPORE ) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA ). After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA ) he sat down with his calculator ( MADE IN MEXICO ) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN ) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA ) he got in his car ( MADE IN GERMANY ) filled it with GAS from Saudi Arabia and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.

At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day checking his Computer (MADE IN MALAYSIA), Joe decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL ) poured himself a glass of wine ( MADE IN FRANCE.! France!! ) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA ), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in .. AMERICA.....

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

The only problem with this is that Joe Smith has a choice: as a consumer he can also choose to purchase many of these items 'Made in America" since virtually all of them are manufactured in the US (and Canada) as well as made by an overseas manufactury. The trouble is, Mr. Joe Smith probably doesn't want to pay the higher purchase price reflecting the higher labour costs involved in making many of these products in North America.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

true, people always complain about the 'made in somewhere else than America' shizzle.. but, they fukcin lie, they wouldn't pay 4 dollars extra for a cordless phone or a cd player.. how do i know, well.. Cuz they get p.o'ed when a watch battery goes up 40 cents, now imagine something going up 4 or 5 dollars..

LMAO!!!

Dell is still made in America, part's arent :P but the assembly is.... mhh what else.. the Ipod although has a japanese hard drive, is assembled in USA methinks.. oh yea and those clips, staples, metal thingies for offices, still made in America

Another point to ponder--when you drive your car (whichsoever country of manufacture--Korea, US, Japan, Mexico, Canada), you always drive over roads which have manhole covers manufactured in INDIA (absolute monopoly on these).

I beg a different opinion. Quite a lot of these products you would be hard pressed to find manufactured and assembled in America. They might be old line American companies, but they aren't made in America anymore. Just the name is American. Fruit of the Loom is a prime example.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

My Fruit-of-the-Loom is made in Jamaica--pretty close to the USA, same hemisphere and almost the same language at least.
